Intimacy

Kompan, People's House Siglufjörður

Intimacy is important to us, and in it we feel our place in the world and the community of all that exists. Threads run everywhere, visible and invisible, they connect everything that lives and moves, heaven and earth.

Anna. Þóra's works take on various forms, the wool that previously provided warmth and shelter rises up in space and material turns into spirit. Before our eyes, lines, colors and shapes float, moving through space and directing our gaze to the sky and the earth. Although some of them appear at first glance to be bound in their form, upon closer inspection they are open, without fixed outlines and frames. They look out into space and thus connect with their surroundings and the outside world in a natural way.

They also connect us to the world and to each other, and the intimacy between us increases as we experience the work. In this way, we become closer to each other and to the whole world. All is one.
